The Sgt 2Step Foundation was founded by a foster child turned Gold Star Mother, committed to giving back through music and community service. We serve survivors of the fallen, first responder families, and underserved youth through scholarships, retreats, mentorship, and events that use music and education as tools for healing and purpose.
From foster care to Gold Star Mom, Tracy “2Step” La Porte’s journey has been shaped by resilience and purpose. Her son, Sergeant Adam “2Step,” a proud U.S. Army infantryman, was serving on active duty when his life was tragically cut short — a moment that forever changed her family.
To honor his legacy, Tracy founded the Sgt. 2Step Foundation, blending music, programs, and services to bring healing, unity, and remembrance to families of the fallen, veterans, first responders, and the wider community.
